As initiated by the World Bank a joint video conference was held between the World Bank, TTL, Component experts, Project implementation unit staff and Implementing agency representatives and Coordinating consultants on September 13, 2018 at the UB World Bank office.
From the World Bank Washington DC office Project Task Team leader Ms. Carolina Vaira, Component C leader Ulle Lohmus, and Senior Public Sector specialist David Zucchini connected through online video call and discussed the following:
Project Coordinator D.Batmunkh gave a brief introduction about the project implementation
Coordinating consultants and implementing agency representatives introduced their corresponding component implementation, some asked for clarification from the World Bank component experts, and stated their request
After introduction of each component World Bank staff asked questions, clarifications, and in some cases, provided recommendation
World Bank experts requested to accelerate planned activities for this year and to prepare for the October implementation support mission in Mongolia.
The upcoming mission intends to review the work plan for 2019 and requested the Project Implementation Unit, and coordinating consultants to prepare the according to their advice
The conference was professional, informative, and provided directions and recommendations for the forthcoming activities.
THE PIU INTRODUCED IMPLEMENTATION PROGRESS OF THE PROJECT TO THE WORLD BANK WORKING GROUP.
Ms. Alma Kanani, the World Bank Practice manager for East Asia Region, Ms. Carolina Vaira, Task Team leader for Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability Project, and the WB working group members visited the Project implementation unit and were introduced to the project implementation progress on March 19, 2019.
THE ONE STOP-SOCIAL INSURANCE SERVICE CENTER OPENED WITH THE SUPPORT OF SFFSP.
The One Stop Service Center of Social insurance division of Bayanzurkh district opened on 13 March, 2019 and an opportunity to improve quality and access of social insurance services for the citizens have become possible.
THE PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION UNIT HAS ORGANIZED A TRAINING FOR COORDINATING CONSULTANTS AND WORKING GROUP MEMBERS.
In order to intensify the implementation of 2019 work plan, approved by the Project Steering committee, a training on procurement, training and monitoring and evaluation was organized for coordinating consultants and working group members on February 28, 2019.
WORK PLAN AND PROCUREMENT PLAN FOR THE YEAR 2019 HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE PROJECT STEERING COMMITTEE.
The Project Work Plan and Procurement Plan for the 2019 under the Strengthening Fiscal and Financial Stability project was approved by the Project Steering Committee members on January 25, 2019.
A JOINT MEETING WITH STATE SECRETARY AND DIRECTORS OF MINISTRY OF FINANCE WAS ORGANIZED BY THE SFFS PROJECT IMPLEMENTING UNIT.
According to an assignment, given by State Secretary of Ministry of Finance and Project director, the Project implementing unit had successfully organized a joint meeting with directors of departments of Project implementing agency at the Ministry of Finance on December 21, 2018.
A TRAINING WAS ORGANIZED FOR PROJECT COORDINATING CONSULTANTS AND WORKING GROUP MEMBERS
The Project implementation unit organized a training for project consulting coordinators and working group members on November 27, 2018. The purpose of the training was to provide project consulting coordinators and working group members with guidance on coordination and organization of activities planned for the upcoming year, urgent activities to be implemented, and tasks completed within the preparation of the Project work plan for 2019.
